Bliss, who recently reclaimed the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside her partner Nikki Cross at WrestleMania 36 earlier this month, has previously competed in gear inspired from several different avenues of pop culture. Some of her previous gear has referenced Marvel’s Iron Man, horror icon Freddy Krueger, and DC’s Riddler and Harley Quinn. When asked if she would be open to the idea of wrestling in Tifa-themed ring gear, including dressing up her pet pig Larry Steve as a Moogle, Bliss shared her enthusiasm for the concept, calling it a “fantastic” idea.

Bliss pointed out how she had compared herself to Tifa during her recent FF7 Remake partnership with Square Enix, adding how she may consider doing it in the future alongside whatever other comic book, movie, and video game related gear she might have in the works. Alongside WrestleMania, WWE’s other major events include the Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series, giving Bliss plenty of opportunity to commission a Tifa-themed design.
This wouldn’t be the first time that WWE has entered into a partnership with Final Fantasy. Popular stable The New Day paid homage to the beloved RPG franchise during the promotion’s biggest yearly event at WrestleMania 33 back in 2017. New Day members Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston hosted the show, with each Superstar dressed up in different Final Fantasy 14 inspired costumes that even included a Chocobo ice cream cart and stuffed Moogles accompanying them.
Bliss is currently involved in an upcoming show entitled “Fight Like A Girl.” The show sees WWE’s Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon partner a WWE Superstar with a young woman who is struggling with a personal issue that has been holding her back. Drawing from their own personal experiences, the WWE Superstar then helps their partner to overcome obstacles, in turn becoming a tougher, stronger, healthier version of their former selves both inside and out.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now exclusively for PS4.
