The Beastslayer seemingly turned heel at the top of the show only to wrestle in the main event as a babyface. The burning question is this: is Seth Rollins a full-fledged heel now?
Bryan Alvarez addressed Rollins’ character change on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Live.
It seems like the heel turn wasn’t even a part of WWE’s original plan for Rollins up until last night. The former WWE Champion has reportedly come up with a surprising idea of having a heel character who thinks he’s right and that the fans have unfairly targetted the WWE and himself. He will continue to wrestle as a babyface while being a heel. Confused?
Here’s Alvarez’s explanation:
Seth Rollins could be aiming to be a modern hybrid heel. We don’t even know how to term his character at this point. All we can do is wait and watch how the new direction unfolds in the coming weeks.
This week’s RAW ended with the Authors of Pain attacking Kevin Owens while sparing Rollins, possibly teasing an alliance with the former Universal Champion.
