Mike Kanellis asks for release
Mike Kanellis has revealed that he has asked for his release from WWE. The former 24/7 Champion just re-signed with the company a couple of months back but is not happy with the creative direction.
He took to Twitter last night to make it clear that he was looking to leave as there is no real opportunity for him to work in WWE. Mike also went on to reveal that he was frustrated, sad and angry with the situation and wanted to get out of it as soon as possible.
Maria Kanellis, meanwhile, took to Instagram to support her husband’s decision. In doing so, she has also made it clear that she has not asked for her release but is fully supportive of her husband’s decision to leave.
Mike is the 5th Superstar after Lio Rush, Luke Harper and The Revival to ask for a release this year.
Randy Orton to turn face!
Randy Orton has been a heel on Monday Night RAW and SmackDown for some time now and it looks like things are about to change. Cageside Seats via Observer report that the Legend Killer is set to turn face soon.
Orton was drafted to Monday Night RAW on the first night of the draft. The 13-time champion was the first pick of the Red brand in Round 2 of the draft. He is now set to lead Team Flair at Crown Jewel when they take on Team Hogan, led by Seth Rollins.
Why Seth Rollins burned the Firefly Fun House on RAW
Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House was burned down by Seth Rollins at the end of Monday Night RAW last night to leave the fans stunned. The move was not something that the WWE Universe was expecting and it caught everyone off guard.
Dave Meltzer has now provided a reason for the shocking turn of events and said that it was a way to bring the Firefly Fun House to an end. He believes that FOX Network was not keen on having it on their show as Wyatt was drafted to the Blue brand in the WWE Draft.

CM Punk gets a lucrative offer from NWA
Nick Aldis has revealed that NWA are willing to offer CM Punk a lucrative deal to wrestle at their pay-per-view. The NWA Heavyweight Champion has stated that he would be willing to offer the former WWE star half of the revenue from the PPV to make it happen! He said on The NWA Pod:

Why Carmella and R-Truth were split in the WWE Draft
Carmella and R-Truth have been an incredible pair since they got together a couple of months back. They have been running around with the 24/7 Championship, entertaining the fans every single time.
However, all good things must come to an end and now, with the WWE Draft done, the duo have been put in different brands. R-Truth will be on Monday Night RAW while Carmella has moved to Friday Night SmackDown.

Bobby Lashley on his storyline with Lana
Bobby Lashley and Lana shocked the WWE Universe 2 weeks ago when they came out and kissed on stage. It took place on the season premiere of Monday Night RAW and with Rusev in the ring taking on Seth Rollins.
Talking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Lashley revealed that he was enjoying the storyline and is looking forward to his match vs Rusev. The former Intercontinental champion said:
