The Beastslayer seemingly turned heel at the top of the show only to wrestle in the main event as a babyface. The burning question is this: is Seth Rollins a full-fledged heel now? Bryan Alvarez addressed Rollins’ character change on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Live. It seems like the heel turn wasn’t even a part of WWE’s original plan for Rollins up until last night. Dailywrestlingnews.com reports that the orignial plan was to include Bayley in the Total Divas team, but Triple H talked Vince out of it and they made a decision to include Eva Marie instead. Triple H was against Bayley’s inclusion as he thought that she was more of a ‘wrestler’ than a ‘Diva’. Also, Eva is part of the cast of the ‘Total Divas’ show which airs on WWE Network and E!...

And if the reports are to believed, it could be so near yet so far for Dolph Ziggler yet again. WWE reportedly wanted to go ahead with a Dean Ambrose versus AJ Styles feud, but AJ has unfinished business with John Cena, putting those plans on hold. So Dolph Ziggler was chosen as a replacement, presumably to fill in for Styles while he ties up the trilogy against John Cena....

Bayley is arguably the most loved babyface in the women’s division in WWE. This was evident by the pop she received when she made her main roster debut at Battleground as Sasha Bank’s partner. The duo took on Charlotte and Dana Brooke to open the pay-per-view and ended with up with a win. If rumors are to be believed, it seems that WWE officials are already laying out the groundwork for a feud between Sasha Banks and Bayley....

Unlike many companies during the pandemic, Vince McMahon’s pro wrestling-sports entertainment juggernaut appears to have been in a healthy condition. The broadcast deals they struck with various networks across the globe ensured that they were able to have hundreds of millions of dollars flowing in. The use of the Thunderdome venue also kept costs low, with live touring often being an expensive affair. This came after Joe’s vicious attack on Kofi last night on Raw and the preview of tonight’s Smackdown focused largely on how Kofi would respond. There was also speculation as to whether or not Kofi’s New Day brothers will be granted a tag team title shot after Big E & Xavier Woods pinned the current Smackdown Tag Team Champions, Daniel Bryan & Rowan, on Raw. These questions, along with Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley looking for her next opponent, created the potential for some fresh, new storylines to begin on this week’s show....

We sure hope it’s an anomaly because the quality of wrestling has spiraled down, through the week, after what was a pretty decent ‘Clash of Champions’. Today’s episode of Smackdown Live came to us from Cleveland. Here’s what we liked and disliked from today’s show. The fallout of these storylines would be the major focus of the show this week around and along with this, WWE would be looking to further stack the No Mercy card. With that said, here are the possible segments that we could expect from SmackDown Live this week. More stipulations to be added? The Dolph Ziggler vs. Miz match at No Mercy deserves to be pushed as a top feud....

Randy Orton’s addresses the WWE Universe as the new champion The Viper kicked off the show, proudly holding up the WWE Championship. As he was talking, Bray Wyatt popped up on the screen and said that the era of Wyatt is yet to begin. He said that while he has his rematch, he had a big plan for Randy Orton. Randy said that he accepted his challenge, and called him out to the ring....

Sheamus cuts in and brings up 5:15 again because that’s his thing now. After banter with the crowd, Sheamus tells Reigns he’s being investigated, so he has to leave. Roman challenges Sheamus to make him leave the arena, and when security responds, Reigns tosses them a beatdown. It’s good to see that “volatile Reigns” is going to continue despite his championship win. The edge he showed at the end of TLC is what finally got him over with even a harsh Philly crowd, and the mean streak has to continue, even if he’s going to technically remain a face....

That’s the word according to the Wrestling Observer website with the company close to signing NJPW stars AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
