The former Total Divas star has been part of some interesting storylines throughout her time in WWE, even one that pitted Dolph Ziggler up against her real-life husband, but this one has to be the most controversial that she has been part of. Despite the fact that WWE has delayed putting Lashley and Rusev in a one-on-one match for a number of months throughout this storyline with some interesting reasoning, including the fact that Lashley pulled his groin a few weeks ago, this match still isn’t expected to be part of Survivor Series....

While there were many moments across the show that elicited great reactions from the Toronto fans, Goldberg’s squash match against Dolph Ziggler and the twin spears that were delivered after the match were very well received. It took one minute and fifty seconds for Goldberg to get a typically dominant win over WWE’s resident Showoff. However not many realised that Ziggler cut a promo before the match in which he interestingly mentioned a banned word, as noted by Bryan Alvarez on the post-SummerSlam edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio....

However, fans of Andrade might be happy to know that the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Andrade has been a “universally loved” figure backstage and Vince McMahon does intend to push him big. There’s just one thing that McMahon feels is holding him back. In case you didn’t know… Some fans don’t realize why WWE looks at Andrade as such an important prospect. Not only is he a magnificent talent in the ring, but at just 29 years old, he’s already a veteran of around 15 years....

While Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar, for the Universal Championship will also be billed as the main event during the build-up, it most likely will not close the show. There are rumours suggesting that Charlotte Flair may be added to the RAW Women’s Championship match making it a triple threat. In any case, this will be the first time that a women’s match will headline the grand show. In case you didn’t know… The feud between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch began ahead of their scheduled match at Survivor Series which could not take place due to Lynch suffering a broken “face” at the hands of Nia Jax....

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter states and Cageside Seats confirms that John Cena will be referred to as the ‘Greatest Of All Time’. We already saw a glimpse of this, on RAW. In case you didn’t know… John Cena returned to challenge Baron Corbin at Madison Square Garden, when Braun Strowman could not compete. He was introduced by Vince McMahon who made it a point to mention that he’d had more MSG moments than legends such as Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino....

Now Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestlingNews) has more information on who they were, who made the decision and why it was made. In case you didn’t know… Several notable backstage names have left WWE recently, with creative member Ryan Alpert, best known for his small role as Mr. Bootyworth in New Day segments resigning from his position in June. Another high-profile departure was writing staff member Robert Evans who was allegedly sacked for allowing Vince McMahon’s name to be mentioned during this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony, although it was later clarified by Evans himself that he quit....

In case you didn’t know… In the latest WWE NEWS, Rey Mysterio defeated Samoa Joe back at Money in the Bank a few weeks ago in a short match that ended when the referee counted the pin despite Joe’s shoulders being off the mat. Samoa Joe obviously wasn’t impressed that he lost his Championship because of a referee’s error and told Mysterio to relinquish it back to him, something that he was later forced to do because his shoulder injury was more severe than first thought....

In case you didn’t know… Last night, Vince McMahon announced the “Wild Card Rule” as a way to help spice up the current brand split. From now on, a handful of superstars on both Raw and SmackDown will be able to swap to the other brand whenever they feel it necessary. Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, Kofi Kingston were the first three stars from the blue brand to jump to Raw, interrupting McMahon during his opening segment on Raw....

Another match that has been advertised to take place in Jeddah this Friday is for the Universal Championship as Seth Rollins will defend the title against Baron Corbin at the show. However, recently there were rumours circulating that Seth Rollins may have been written off the Super ShowDown event given the severe beating he took at the hands of Brock Lesnar this past RAW. This, however, holds no truth....

Gable’s WWE run so far… The 2016 WWE Draft saw American Alpha being drafted to the blue brand. Consisting of Chad Gable and Jason Jordan, the team defeated The Vaudevillains in their first match. A year later, Jordan was moved to Monday Night RAW, disbanding the team in the process. Gable was soon paired up with a returning Shelton Benjamin. The duo defeated The Ascension in their first tag-team bout, which was also Benjamin’s first WWE match since 2010....

The former Impact Wrestling Champion has been floundering on the main roster ever since he made his debut, and things just keep getting worse for him. It was reported recently that WWE were planning to pair him up with Drake Maverick to make things more interesting. Unfortunately for the two, when that did happen, Vince McMahon did not like the pairing at all. In case you didn’t know… Drake Maverick is not only the current GM on 205 Live, but has also managed the Authors of Pain in the past....

The New Day member has gone from being a full-time Tag Team specialist to the hottest and most over babyface in the company as of now, arguably even surpassing Becky Lynch in terms of fan support. However, the plans were not always to have Kingston face Daniel Bryan at WWE, which is the reason that he wasn’t initially slated to win at Wrestlemania 35; however, WWE may have changed their minds....

One of the most anticipated matches of the night is Seth Rollins taking on Baron Corbin for the Universal Championship. Don’t get me wrong, the match itself is hardly exciting, but the fact that Brock Lesnar will most likely cash-in his MITB Contract is what makes it interesting. One star’s inclusion in that feud initially seemed out of place due to his prior involvement on 205 Live. But according to the Wrestling Observer Radio, the involvement of Cedric Alexander in the feud is because Heyman is “very high” on the wrestler and might be giving him a big push soon. Cedric’s beginnings in WWE Alexander was primarily known for his time in Ring of Honor. He was much bigger in ROH than he is now in WWE....

However, his reign got cut short due to Roman Reigns’ Wrestlemania push, and he was in The League of Nations faction, which was never as promising as it should’ve been.Basically, since losing the title to Roman Reigns on the Raw after TLC, Sheamus has been floating back and forth and creatively stifled for a while now. Sheamus as well has been quite open about the fact that he has been frustrated about his position in the card....

The four comepetitors from SmackDown Live in the Men’s MITB match will go against each other in what could be an important Fatal Four Way match. Randy Orton delivered a huge statement after putting down Andrade and Ali last week, while Finn Balor has made a bold claim that he could leave the MITB PPV with both the WWE and Intercontinental Championships. Who will gain the much-needed momentum heading into Sunday?...

It’s extremely difficult to imagine why nobody may have picked a fight with him yet. I mean there are Superstars on the bench, waiting for an opportunity, and so the kayfabe reason for nobody stepping up to the plate is quite puzzling. One thing is for sure, though, someone is bound to step up and challenge Aleister Black when the time is right. Dominik Mysterio vs. King Corbin on SmackDown Dominik and Rey Mysterio were making their entrance when King Corbin attacked them from behind and threw Rey off the stage before the show headed for commercials. We returned to SmackDown to see that the match was underway and Dominik hit a big basement dropkick before Corbin got a near fall....
