Quite honestly, Jericho’s involvement in this most recent run for Y2J in WWE has been lacking. His flopped role as partner for Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose against the Wyatts was only the first of several disappointing appearances in recent months. The Usos/Dolph Ziggler def. The New Day A triple Superkick leads to the victory for the faces, a tough loss for the Tag Team Champions. For the Usos, recent weeks have given credence that they could once more obtain the WWE Tag Team titles at Royal Rumble, and that wouldn’t be all bad....

Internet crucifixions are real and so, at the outset, let’s begin by saying that this is one person’s opinion only. Even though WWE SmackDown had the best segment overall, both shows combined, AEW Rampage may have just edged the competition out in quality this week. Why was AEW Rampage better than WWE SmackDown? Well, AEW Rampage is certainly a more palatable show, especially for a wrestling journalist who covers many hours of wrestling content every week....

It was recently reported in a since-deleted tweet from Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast that WWE Raw is making the executive decision to shift its TV-PG rating to TV-14 as soon as the following Monday. Sharing the news via Twitter Zarian wrote, “Starting July 18th WWE Raw will have a TV-14 rating moving forward on the USA Network," Continuing on, he added, “The PG Era is over."...

To solve this issue, it is rumored that WWE wants several NXT talents to perform in both NXT and the main roster, at least till NXT Takeover : Brooklyn in August. New talents will be signed for NXT and worldwide reputed wrestlers like Bobby Roode, Eric Young and others will become regulars for the show. Regarding the signing new talents for NXT, the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that there have been internal discussions in the WWE to sign ROH star Moose....

Now, PWInsider.com has now revealed that the SmackDown Live Superstar’s injury required surgery. The former Wyatt Family member, Rowan, will go under the knife in Birmingham, Alabama later this week to repair a torn bicep. The perennially underrated star made an appearance at the most recent NXT TV taping for a surprise championship match, possibly teasing a permanent move back to the developmental brand. In case you didn’t know… Breeze is one of those talents whose developmental success never quite translated to the main roster. Officially billed as the lightest FCW Heavyweight Champion in the former developmental territory’s history, Breeze spent five years in the lower leagues of the WWE from before making the jump to the main roster on 2015....

In case you didn’t know… R-Truth actually managed to defeat The Miz on SmackDown Live after Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella invaded the match and distracted The IT Couple. Truth and Carmella exited the ringside area after the win but Andrade “Cien” Almas and Zelina Vega made their way to the ring to even the score against Brie and Daniel but they were then used as pawns in the feud between Miz and Bryan when they were both locked in the Yes Lock to send a message....

With the Royal Rumble right around the corner, excitement is high among the WWE fans so let us take a look at the 5 top stories of the day: #5 Reason for Sasha Banks being pulled from matches The Boss Sasha Banks has not been featured prominently on SmackDown for the past few weeks. While the 4-time RAW Women’s Champion has essentially become Bayley’s shadow on SmackDown, her fans are worried that it might be a case of being ‘buried’....

An update to an earlier story on Finn Balor, it is now confirmed that he is in Birmingham, Alabama to see world renown surgeon Dr James Andrews to determine if he will be cleared to return to the ring. This update comes from Mike Johnson at PWInsider. In case you didn’t know… Finn Balor is recovering from a labrum tear that he suffered in his WWE Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam last year....

In case you didn’t know… Since AEW officially launched on January 1, several WWE Superstars have requested to be released from their contracts. The Revival’s Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder were two of the biggest names who reportedly requested to leave in January, and it was also widely reported that Mike & Maria Kanellis asked WWE to let them leave their contracts six months earlier than planned. Luke Harper’s contract situation is also up in the air – he publicly asked to leave in April but WWE did not grant him his release – while Sasha Banks has still not returned to television after reportedly letting it be known after WrestleMania 35 that she wanted to be let go from her contract....

Wyatt was kept away from TV this week. However, the former WWE Champion did make an appearance after the show went off the air. Dave Meltzer provided an update about his injury on the post-RAW edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio. While Bray is hurt, his injury is not said to be a serious one. It’s also interesting to note that WWE had him get involved in a post-RAW angle when he showed up and attacked Cesaro....

In case you didn’t know… Elias Samson began his professional wrestling career in 2007, under the name “Logan Shulo,” in the Northeastern independent scene. In 2014, Elias was signed to a WWE contract and assigned to NXT. The former WWE NXT superstar was a praised talent on the roster, but it has been reported that the WWE creative team was never behind her in the first place. Reports from Fightful suggest there were never any big plans for the Chilean superstar, but there are no confirmed reasons about why. Sin Cara stated that after he and Cortez parted ways in late 2019, there were no real plans for her, and that their pairing was only temporary to get Zelina Vega and Andrade over....

However, what was originally a one on one match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch, has now turned into a rather confusing match involving three women and two championships. However, as per the WON, there is good news heading our way as an announcement will clear the fate of the SmackDown Women’s Championship which is held by Charlotte Flair. In case you didn’t know… Charlotte Flair was added to the match between Rousey and Lynch when Vince McMahon replaced The Man with The Queen....

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter went into detail about Harper’s situation and Vince McMahon’s reaction to it, all of which led to Harper asking to be released from his contract.
