This past weekend, we saw Ranallo at his usual best while calling Takeover: WarGames. However, following the PPV, he was publicly criticized by Graves for talking over Beth Phoenix and Nigel McGuinness during the event. Graves took to Twitter and said, Soon after that, Ranallo deleted his Twitter account and fans were surprised to see him missing from the recently concluded Survivor Series where he was scheduled to call a few matches involving NXT Superstars....

In case you didn’t know… Dustin Runnels aka Goldust made his WWE debut way back in 1990 and has wrestled for the company since then with a few runs in other promotions including WCW and TNA intermittently through his career. Goldust’s departure from WWE was confirmed a few days ago when the three-time IC Champion was quietly moved to WWE’s alumni page. Goldust also commented on his departure from WWE on Twitter....

Although Wyatt faced Bryan in a match which received generally positive reviews and was a back-and-forth contest, Bryan was not the originally planned opponent for The Fiend at the PPV. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, The Miz was originally scheduled to face The Fiend at Survivor Series this year, and the bout would likely have been a quick squash in favor of the current Universal Champion....

In a bid to amp things up its former glory, or at the very least, to respectable standards, the WWE management may be looking to get back three extremely bankable names. As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE could be building up towards the TV returns of Goldberg, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker. In case you didn’t know… Earlier this week, WWE announced the returns of Goldberg, Lesnar and Undertaker for its next show in Saudi Arabia - which is scheduled to take place on June 7th at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah....

As revealed by Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Vince McMahon reportedly wants to end Cedric Alexander’s push. Here’s what he said: Meltzer continued: What’s going on with Cedric Alexander? Cedric Alexander took on AJ Styles in a United States Championship match at the kickoff show of WWE Clash of Champions. The Phenomenal One successfully defended the title before orchestrating a post-match assault on Alexander. This week on RAW, Alexander teamed up with the Viking Raiders in a six-man tag team match against AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson....

Although his New Day teammates actually secured Kingston’s title shot last night after weeks of constant obstacles, Brad Shepard of the Oh You Didn’t Know podcast thinks all the posturing might lead to a break up of the New Day at WrestleMania 35. In case you missed it… Kofi Kingston gained the backing of the WWE Universe when he lasted over an hour in the gauntlet match before the Elimination Chamber as well as lasting to the final two against Bryan in the same match....

The world of pro wrestling is never short on speculation and we get the best bits in one place for your convenience. It may not have been a very newsworthy weekend but there were still quite a few rumours that are worth mentioning. Raw’s Executive Director Paul Heyman has taken a liking for an underutilized Superstar. A former Women’s Champion’s Twitter activity has hinted towards a possible WWE departure. A former WWE Champion could return with his old gimmick....

Dailwrestlingnews.com reports that the match was supposed to have a special guest referee but that obviously didn’t happen. Several backstage officials, even the chairman, Vince McMahon supported the idea at one point. Later, Vince nixed that idea of any major interference, other than Stephanie McMahon, as he wanted Roman to win his match and the title without any outside help to prove himself to the WWE universe. Although Triple H didn’t agree with Vince at first....

Here is the tweet he put out: It was reported that Shelton Benjamin’s role would be similar to that of Chris Jericho, which is that of a veteran helping to elevate younger talent and at the same time to elevate the presence of the show. It is now being reported that Benjamin was being slated for a big upper-mid card push, which would have probably seen him in the Intercontinental title picture, and helping newer talents and perhaps receiving a title run in the process....

A main roster call-up has been expected by fans for some time, with Gonzalez even working dark matches before Raw and SmackDown. However, she recently reappeared on NXT TV. Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez theorizes that this is because Vince McMahon’s promotion needs the numbers for its Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. Raquel Gonzalez has won everything there is to win in WWE NXT Making her debut with the former black and gold brand in 2016, Gonzalez has had considerable success during her time with NXT....

It was as stacked a show as ever, with Roman Reigns being able to overcome the numbers game with help from The Usos as he put Robert Roode through a table so that he could announce that his match with King Corbin at Royal Rumble would be a Falls Count Anywhere match. It was another episode of SmackDown that was full of action but some eagle-eyed fans also spotted several interesting errors....

Be it the return of the cryptic and eerie Firefly Fun House or The Miz TV featuring Dolph Ziggler and Mr. WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels firing verbal volleys at each other, the show lived up to the expectation of fans. However, The Viper, Randy Orton accepting Kofi Kingston’s challenge to face him for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2019 was clearly the highlight of the show. On another note, the upcoming episode of SmackDown will be live this Tuesday night from FedExForum, Memphis, TN and WWE has already advertised two matches- Finn Balor vs Dolph Ziggler and The New Day vs Elias and Drew McIntyre in a tag team match- and the return of Trish Stratus for a King’s Court segment with Hall of Famer, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler....

On top of that, with the Undertaker not answering Cena’s challenge on RAW, could the Deadman finally make his reply on SmackDown? Shane McMahon returns Shane McMahon went down with Diverticulitis while on vacation in the Carribean. WWE attributed Shane’s condition to the brutal attack he suffered at the hands of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Daniel Bryan announced that Shane was fit to compete at WrestleMania on last week’s episode of SmackDown....

Segment rating: A+ Trish Stratus and Lita were backstage for the FOX premiere of Friday Night SmackDown! Becky Lynch & Charlotte vs. Bayley & Sasha Banks Bayley and Charlotte kicked off the match and Charlotte unloaded on Bayley right off the bat. Bayley made the tag and Charlotte sent Sasha outside soon after. Bayley dropped Flair from the top rope after Becky got involved before we headed for commercials....

WWE SmackDown spoilers from tonight’s tapings in Lincoln, Nebraska: SmackDown opens with John Cena telling everyone to not doubt him and that he is a fighter and wants to be the champion. The day he doesn’t want to be the champion is the day he’ll leave. Kane with Seth Rollins come out. Roman Reigns comes through the crowd. The lights go out and The Wyatt Family appear. Chris Jericho, Mark Henry and Big Show arrive too....

Asuka was ecstatic and did a victory lap around the ring before Becky told her to go be a warrior while Lynch was going to go be a mother. Asuka hugged her before chanting Becky’s name as the now-former champ walked out. Backstage, a host of RAW stars came out to congratulate Becky including R-Truth, Ricochet, Natalya, The Street Profits, and many others. Bobby Lashley vs. Humberto Carrillo - No DQ Match Carrillo slapped Lashley in the face, angering the veteran, and Bobby went for a steel chair right away....

“I’ve actually been instructed not to pass along any in regards to her,” the WWE representative said. Chyna, who was sitting next to Anzaldo during the call, wondered out loud if she was being “out of line.” Anzaldo noted that the situation with WWE is “getting worse.” Goldberg has been filming the movie Checkpoint in North Carolina, which stars William Forsythe and Mindy Robinson. “Goldberg had a ‘blast’ on set - literally - while filming Checkpoint,” Goldberg’s business manager, Uncle Louie, said....

On January 29 inside The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, the premier event for WWE takes center stage. The annual event is traditionally one of the biggest and most anticipated WWE shows of the year featuring both a men’s and women’s Royal Rumble match with 30 participants in each bout and the last person standing earning a championship match at WrestleMania 38 in April. This year, there will be a few special appearances in the form of Johnny Knoxville and Impact Wrestling Knockouts World Champion Mickie James....
