Reigns pummelled Murphy until SmackDown’s Best Kept Secret blabbed that he saw Rowan trying to kill him. Now it seems that WWE is planning to continue this story at SummerSlam, with backstage reports suggesting that a segment will take place between Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, and Rowan. What will Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan be doing at SummerSlam? HeelbyNature has reported that as of this morning, there were plans for Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, and Rowan to be involved in a segment that will air at SummerSlam....

WWE recently posted a video on their official YouTube channel which takes a look at the top 5 possible opponents for Cena in the near future. Interestingly, the video list which includes several top WWE and NXT stars was topped by none other than the former WWE World Champion The Undertaker. Other names in the list include the likes of Current NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe, SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon and Former Universal Champion Finn Balor....

SK Wrestling has learned via sources within the company that Jeff Jarrett has been tasked with searching for a native-born Indian WWE Superstar. The WWE Hall of Famer is familiar with the Indian market as he spearheaded TNA’s ‘Ring ka King’ project in India. TNA aired a wrestling program in 2012/13 on the Colours Network in India, and the show managed to garner massive numbers. Jeff Jarrett is heavily involved with WWE’s plans to expand in the Indian subcontinent, and significant moves are expected to be made in 2021....

Shane McMahon opened the show with a big announcement, but AJ Styles, John Cena and The Miz made their presence known. AJ Styles and The Miz clashed after tensions boiled over between the two earlier on, with John Cena standing tall post-match after getting involved while on guest commentary. Nikki Bella called out Natalya, with another chaotic brawl taking place between the former friends. Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton faced off in a fresh matchup, with the bad blood between all three members of the Wyatt family increasing even more after Harper cost Orton the match....

Trish came out and said that she wanted one more match to prove that she was one of the greatest of all time. She slapped Charlotte across the face as fans chanted “one more time”. Charlotte just laughed and walked out of the ring. Segment rating: A Goldberg’s music hit and it was Dolph Ziggler who was mocking the Hall Of Famer’s legendary entrance. Ziggler was set to face Rey Mysterio but the unhinged former world champion superkicked Mysterio’s head off before he could even get into the ring....

Charlotte & Asuka vs. Sonya DeVille & Mandy Rose Asuka & DeVille kicked off the match and the Empress was in control early on but Rose and DeVille hit a big double team move after making the tag. Charlotte came in with the tag and sent the other team running outside before hitting a dive on both of them. Asuka was legal when we returned from commercials and Rose was in control before Asuka reversed a bearhug and made the tag....

Sami Zayn’s absence has not only affected the IC title picture, but also the immediate futures of Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro, who were being led by Zayn as part of ‘The Artist Collective’ stable. Sportskeeda’s Tom Colohue revealed on the new Dropkick DiSKussions podcast that the WWE officials believe that Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura don’t have the ‘right amount of charisma’ to be in a solo position or be leaders of a faction....

While many names declared themselves for the Rumble, a one-on-one match was also sanctioned for the pay-per-view. Roman Reigns challenged Baron Corbin to a match at the Minute Maid Park, with the 2019 King of the Ring accepting. This will presumably be the blowoff match in their feud and while a win for Reigns over the dastardly Corbin would be a satisfying sight, these two should not be facing off at Royal Rumble....

The card for this year’s show seems pretty interesting, if a little less stacked from last year’s bumper edition which featured the likes of Brock Lesnar vs Finn Balor and Sasha Banks vs Ronda Rousey among others. That does not mean that Sunday’s show will be a bust. There are more than enough things to make Royal Rumble 2020 a memorable show. WWE will need to ensure that things remain on the right path....

In what was the first surprise entrant in the WWE Royal Rumble match, NXT’s ‘Perfect 10’ Tye Dillinger entered the match, at #10. Dillinger immediately went after Braun Strowman, who had eliminated several men up until that point. Dillinger lasted a very short time, however, being eliminated by Strowman just as the #13 entrant, Baron Corbin was entering the ring. It was poetic justice, however, as Strowman was eliminated shortly afterwards by Baron Corbin....

Surprisingly enough, the most exciting rumor comes from NXT, where a Superstar has managed to impress the officials backstage with his work ethic and professionalism. A female Superstar teased the introduction of a new gimmick in a bizarre video....

Writing on Fightful Select, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that, with two days to go until the start of the draft, every WWE Superstar he has spoken to about the upcoming roster changes still has no idea which brand they will end up on. Last-minute WWE roster changes As Sean Ross Sapp noted, it should not come as too much of a surprise that WWE is yet to inform Superstars whether they will be appearing on Mondays on RAW or Fridays on SmackDown for the foreseeable future....

One ought to note that presently, both Jimmy and Jey Uso are listed by the WWE as members of the RAW roster. The Usos have been out of action since late July of this year. Jimmy Uso had been arrested on July 25th, 2019, owing to a DUI (Driving Under the Influence). Following the aforementioned incident, The Usos appeared on the July 29th episode of Monday Night RAW. They have been on hiatus from the WWE after their aforesaid appearance....

The 11-time WWE Champion has reportedly been cleared to wrestle again, according to a report from Front Row Brian, now known as Fight Oracle on Twitter. Despite Edge coming out to deny the rumors, speculation is running rife backstage that he has been given the green signal to compete in the ring again. Fightful Select has an update on the current situation. While there is widespread speculation in the wrestling community about an Edge comeback, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful says that they haven’t heard anything regarding plans for Edge’s return....

Dave Meltzer provided the fans with the latest on Edge’s current status on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer stated that WWE believes that the 11-time World Champion may have already negotiated with AEW. For what it’s worth, the speculation is that Edge is trying to get a clearance from the doctors for an in-ring return; however, he still hasn’t been given a green signal just yet....

However, in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer, Dave Meltzer has stated that Ziggler will be facing Goldberg at the biggest party of the summer. In case you didn’t know… The Showoff has been taking quite a lot of verbal shots directed at Goldberg’s poor in-ring performances over the past few weeks. Reports stated that these attacks on Goldberg were scripted and had the nod from Vince McMahon himself....

PWInsider cited contractual obligations preventing Strickland’s arrival, but it seems like he may finally now be about to sign with WWE after the same source confirmed that he said goodbye to DEFY wrestling last night - citing that he was going on to bigger and better things. In case you didn’t know… Back in July 2017, we spoke exclusively with Shane Strickland and asked about the potential of him signing with WWE and he gave us a very interesting answer - remaining coy, but not disregarding the possibility of a move....

On a recent edition of Wade Keller’s podcast on PWtorch, a fan asked if having Daniel Bryan defeat The Fiend at the Royal Rumble and face a heel Roman Reigns at WrestleMania would be a good idea. Keller responded by saying that he thinks a heel Roman Reigns against a triumphant babyface World Champion Daniel Bryan would be tremendous. Although he further adds that he doesn’t believe Reigns turning heel now would be as red-hot as it would have been a few years back....

While officially on the blue brand, Roman Reigns is the biggest full-time Superstar WWE has in terms of star power, and they want to make full use of that. While Reigns is undoubtedly going to be involved in a Championship hunt sooner or later, the current plans for The Big Dog are quite different.
